Before you start
When should I start my dog on a joint supplement?
Large and giant breeds benefit from joint support from around four years, and earlier if there is a known hip or elbow issue. Small breeds usually need it later. A vet consult will give you a straight answer for your dog rather than a rule of thumb.
Can I give my cat a dog supplement?
No. Cats metabolise several common ingredients differently, and some, certain fish oils and any product containing added vitamin D, are dosed for a much larger animal. Always use a supplement labelled for cats.
How long before I see a difference?
Coat and skin supplements usually show in four to six weeks, digestion support within one to two, and joint support can take up to eight weeks. Consistency matters more than dose.
